I can't believe that year ago, I started writing The Veiled Threat as a way to survive after dropping out of college with no direction and now I'm back in school finishing up my History AA degree to transfer and publishing my book. It's been such an incredible journey and I have plans on writing for the rest of my life. I love it.
I'm in the middle of writing the second book of The Veiled Duchess Series, The Veiled Descendants, and in the process of starting a separate series as well as writing a short guide to the world of Neried all while trying to keep my home work turned in on time and focusing on my history major that I absolutely love.
I am so proud of my family and friends and their support for me during this time. The support of people I don't even know who want to read my book. It is so inspiring and wonderful and I feel like I'm finally apart of the writing community.
I found my book on Goodreads the other day through a family friend and seeing it on that website felt like a huge achievement.
And I did it on my own. Not through some fancy publishing firm, or someone telling me what to do, or listening to stuffy professors tell me that I wasn't good enough. The only thing they did was push me to do it myself and show off and well as you guys know I am a show off on occasion.
But more importanly than all that I am so excited to share with you all this incredible story, and thes ewonderful characters, and the beautiful world of Nereid. It is my heart and joy and I'm ready for the love and daggers, harsh words and praises coming my way.
I don't expect anyone to love it, in fact I have a pretty good feeling some people will hate it but look I didn't write it for other people. I wrote it because it was story I wanted told and no mainstream author had written yet.
So this coming monday I hope you enjoy The Veiled Threat, I know I have, and if you don't, well that's not really my problem.
I can't believe it's finally here, and it feels amazing!
Until Next Time xx
